SCRUB IT

A regular routine of giving your body a good scrub, will exfoliate the dead skin and give your skin a polished look. Use a loofah or even a coarse towel with some body wash and give your body a good scrub getting rid of all the dead cells. Scrubbing your body not only exfoliates the dead skin cells but also helps the skin to absorb moisturisers or body oils better. First wash your face with a mild soap or face wash and water. Make a paste with baking soda and water and use it as a scrub. A word of caution, make sure you use circular and gentle movements while scrubbing. Always scrub towards the heart beginning at your feet, legs and then the torso. Don't overdo it. Once a week is just fine making sure not to scrub just after waxing or shaving.

My mother who lived to the ripe old age of 86 years regularly used turmeric powder in her cooking and applied a little amount to her face and neck as a daily regime.
